This was the first time I used my new gadget for photographing myself … the remote. And it's probably why I look so mean on some of the pictures, because I was concentrating on that remote, or is it because the wind was blowing so hard it almost blew me and my camera away? ...Anyway, you should concentrate on my clothes, not on my face …ha, ha
The maxi denim skirt that I am wearing has a story. I had it for a long, long time. Last time I wore it was more than ten years ago when I was already pregnant but I wasn't aware of it yet. I took a picture of myself before going to the radio, because that was the time when I decided I would took pictures every morning to capture my outfits - and that was before Instagram and Facebook and even fashion blogging was in its beginnings! But I took only a few outfit pictures because then I found out I was pregnant and I had other thoughts on my mind, as you can imagine.
But that skirt was in my closet all that time. Every time I was cleaning my closet, throwing away things that didn't fit anymore or were out of style, that skirt came up, and I just couldn't throw it away. So here comes the 2015 and the maxi denim is the staple piece of this season, and I have it in my closet since forever, and I can wear it now! This proofs that not everything in your closet that is outdated is to be thrown away. Keep the pieces that you love, that you are attached to and some day they will serve you again – like my CCDK denim maxi skirt.

I'm wearing: CCDK (vintage) denim maxi skirt, ICEBERG jacket, LILY&LIONEL leather jacket (via matches.com), vintage belt, MICHAEL KORS stud earrings, STEPHANE DE RAUCOURT booties
