Zimski plašči
(ENG text below) Zima ni moj najljubši letni čas, a po drugi strani obožujem tople zimske plašče, tako da imava nekakšen love-hate odnos, kar je čisto v redu. Plašči so zimski must have kos in ker so pozimi večino časa v glavni vlogi, saj se tistega, kar nosimo spodaj večinoma ne vidi, dokler ga ne slečemo, menim, da morajo biti malo ekstra. V nobeni vzporedni realnosti si ne morem predstavljati, da bi vso zimo nosila eno in isto črno bundo ali plašč, nikakor! V resnici imam samo dva zimska vrhnja kosa v črni barvi, namreč plašč, kupljen pred skoraj dvajsetimi leti, s krznenim ovratnikom in manšetami, ter jakno iz umetnega krzna s kapuco znamke Marella, kupljeno pred desetimi leti. Oba kosa zelo redko nosim.
Ko se odločamo za nakup zimskega plašča ali jakne ne smemo zanemariti stila, a prav tako pomembno je tudi, da je plašč oziroma jakna topla in uporabna. Kaj to pomeni? Idealno je, če tkanina vsebuje vsaj nekaj odstotkov volne (razen seveda, pri krznu oziroma umetnem krznu), saj ta zagotavlja, da ti bo v njem toplo. Nujno je, in tukaj ni debate, da ima ta plašč ali jakna, žepe. Pozimi namreč ni hujšega, kot če te zebe v roke, pa jih ne moreš vtakniti v žepe, ne glede na to, ali nosiš rokavice ali ne. Enako pomemben je tudi ovratnik, ki ga lahko za dodatno toplino zavihaš in si zaščitiš vrat, še posebej, če si doma pozabila šal.
Pred nakupom plašča, še posebej, če bo to edini plašč, ki ga boš v tej sezoni kupila, razmisli, ali želiš imeti brezčasen kos, kot je na primer volnen kamelji plašč, ali trendovski kos, na primer teddy plašč, plašč iz umetnega krzna, prešit plašč … Če se ne moreš odločiti, kupi oba, saj plašči v resnici ne grejo tako hitro iz mode, da jih ne bi mogla nositi več sezon. Predlagam tudi sledeče: če tudi pozimi veliko nosiš krila in obleke, naj bo plašč dolg, če si raje v hlačah, pa bo tudi krajši plašč ali jakna zadostil potrebam po toploti. In še to: pri nakupu plašča naj vedno prevlada kvaliteta nad kvantiteto!

WINTER COATS // Winter isn’t my favorite time of the year, but on the other hand, I adore warm winter coats, so we have a kind of love/hate relationship, which is just fine. Coats are a must-have in the winter. Since they play a leading role in winter dressing, as what we wear below is mostly not visible, I think they need to be a little extra. In no parallel reality can I imagine myself wearing one and the same black jacket or coat all winter, no way! In fact, I only have two winter coats in black, namely a coat bought almost twenty years ago with a fur collar and cuffs, and a faux fur hooded jacket by Marella bought ten years ago. I very rarely wear any of these two.
When deciding to buy a winter coat or jacket, we should not neglect style, but it is also important that the coat or a jacket is warm and useful. What does that mean? It is ideal if the fabric contains at least some percentage of wool (except, of course, fur or faux fur), as this ensures that you will be warm in it. It is necessary, and there is no debate here, that this coat or jacket has pockets. In winter, there is nothing worse than getting cold hands and not be able to put them in your pockets, regardless of whether you wear gloves or not. Equally important is the collar, which you can fold up for extra warmth and protect your neck, especially if you forgot your scarf.
Before buying a coat, especially if it will be the only coat you will buy this season, consider whether you want to have a timeless piece, such as a wool camel coat, or a trendy piece, such as a teddy, faux fur coat, quilted coat… If you can’t decide, buy both, as coats don’t really go out of style so fast that you couldn’t wear them for several seasons. I also suggest the following: if you usually wear skirts and dresses, even in the winter, the coat should be long, if you prefer pants, a shorter coat or jacket will also meet your needs. And one more thing: when buying a coat, quality should always prevail over quantity!
